About Chitwan Medical College (CMC)

Chitwan Medical College (CMC) is one of the leading private medical colleges in Nepal, located in Bharatpur, Chitwan. Established on 20 June 2006, the institution was founded by a group of experienced medical professionals with the goal of providing quality medical education, advanced healthcare services, and research opportunities. The college is affiliated with the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Tribhuvan University and is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council.

CMC offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty programs including MBBS, Bachelor of Nursing Sciences (BNS), Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), Bachelor of Public Health (BPH), MD/MS programs, and DM/MCh super-specialty courses. The institution emphasizes academic excellence, practical clinical training, research-based learning, and community-oriented healthcare education.

One of the major strengths of the college is the Chitwan Medical College Teaching Hospital, a tertiary-care teaching hospital with approximately 750 beds. The hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services across multiple specialties including Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Radiology, and various super-specialty departments. The high patient inflow gives students extensive hands-on clinical exposure throughout their medical training.

The campus is spread across a large academic area and includes modern infrastructure such as advanced laboratories, digital classrooms, skill labs, research facilities, seminar halls, computer centers, and a well-stocked medical library. The institution regularly conducts conferences, workshops, research activities, and academic collaborations with national and international organizations to enhance medical education and healthcare services
