Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences (NAIHS) is a prestigious non-profit medical institution located at Bhandarkhal, Sanobharyang, Kathmandu, Nepal. Established in 2010 under the Nepal Army Welfare Fund, the institute was founded with the vision of strengthening healthcare services, medical education, and research within Nepal while producing highly skilled healthcare professionals for both military and civilian sectors.

The institution has historical roots linked to the former Tri-Chandra Military Hospital, established in 1925, which later evolved into the modern Shree Birendra Hospital in Chhauni, Kathmandu. Over the decades, this healthcare system introduced several advanced medical technologies in Nepal, including fiber optic endoscopy, MRI services, semi-automatic pathology laboratories, MultiSlice Helical CT, and Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL).

NAIHS operates through multiple academic units, including the College of Medicine, College of Nursing, and College of Medical Polytechnic. The institute offers MBBS, Bachelor of Public Health (BPH), Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), Nursing programs, and numerous postgraduate MD/MS specialization courses. Academic programs are conducted under the affiliation of the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Tribhuvan University, ensuring high educational standards and strong clinical training.

One of the major strengths of NAIHS is its association with Shree Birendra Hospital, the principal teaching hospital of the Nepal Army. The hospital has approximately 635 beds and functions as a tertiary-level referral center equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities. Students receive extensive clinical exposure in Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Radiology, Emergency Medicine, and Intensive Care services.
